Edgewell
One solution for 12 countries on
4 continents

Edgewell Personal Care is a US group that markets several well-known drugstore brands such as Wilkinson Sword internationally. The total turnover of its more than 50 national subsidiaries amounted to around 2.25 billion US dollars in 2023. We customized, configured, and implemented a financial process automation solution for EDGEWELL in 12 countries on four continents.

The challenge

Edgewell's first requirement for its SAP environment was a strategic development plan for growth-oriented accounting and to prepare for "Automation 2.0". This led to the need for a flexible solution that could comply with all country-specific regulations and tax laws. In addition, the central controlling department wanted more transparency for sales figures and turnover, while at the same time reducing accounting costs.

Our services

  • Set up a dedicated project team to work closely with Edgewell's SAP experts
  • Reviewing and optimizing the existing SAP system to meet current operational requirements
  • Deactivating obsolete functions
  • Streamlining general processes
  • Added new functions to enable further process improvements

Result: Strategy developed and launched

Today, Edgewell has a customized solution for the automation of financial processes (FPA) in Mexico, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and the Czech Republic. It is precisely adapted and configured to meet all country-specific challenges. Moreover, the implementation of the long-term vision of "Automation 2.0" has become a reality, so further implementation steps have already begun.

The successful completion of a project of this scale - from industry expertise and analysis to project management, implementation, and support - underlines avvaneo's expertise and commitment. With avvaneo, we were able to complete this urgent project on time and at a lower cost than expected."
