Südzucker
Significantly increased
operating efficiency

Südzucker AG (Mannheim), with its sugar, special products, and fruit segments, is a major player in the European food industry and, with CropEnergies, the leading producer of bioethanol in the EU. Annual revenues are in the region of almost EUR 10 billion. We carried out a comprehensive update of accounts payable and other applications for Südzucker to significantly increase operational efficiency.

The challenge

Südzucker had successfully implemented solutions for the process automation of accounts payable, master data management, customer order processing, and internal invoicing. Subsequent changes, optimizations, and temporary corrections impaired operational efficiency. The systems therefore required a comprehensive update and additional solutions to get the maximum efficiency out of the existing solution.

Our services

  • Update all components of the current system to the latest versions
  • Automate accounts payable accounting, account master data management, sales order processing, and FI-internal transfers between G/L accounts
  • Implementing system changes to sustainably increase efficiency (e.g. automatic reconciliation of tax data with the tax office portal)

Result: A solution that keeps getting better

With avvaneo, Südzucker has succeeded in realizing future-proof improvements for numerous accounts payable processes that continuously increase the efficiency and quality of the business processes. avvaneo accompanied the entire planning, implementation, and stabilization process in such a way that the upgrades and new automation did not lead to any interruptions or "innovation shocks" for the users. Today, Südzucker has a perfectly trained project partner in avvaneo, who advises the company in a targeted manner and continuously implements further system improvements.
